Nature Struck

I have had a passion for the outdoors and camping ever since his first camping trip as a Boy Scout at age 12. Since then, he has spent nearly every free weekend and vacation tent camping across my home state of Texas and all across the country. My adventures have taken me hiking, fishing, and camping in all kinds of terrain and weather conditions. Over the decades of camping and exploring local parks and forests, I have become extremely knowledgeable about wilderness survival skills, outdoor gear, and camping best practices. I love teaching new campers how to pitch a tent, start a campfire, cook over the fire or camp stove, and any other skills required for safe, eco-friendly, and enjoyable camping trips. Although I still prefer my trusty old tent to other shelters, he has extensive experience using hammocks, bivy sacks, tarps and all kinds of protective equipment to create comfortable and long-lasting campsites. I run a successful blog called Camping With Style where I share photos from incredible locations, reviews new camping products, and gives step-by-step tutorials teaching essential camping competencies. My expertise, adventurous spirit, deep respect for nature, and desire to pass on my lifetime of skills ensure that I will be happily camping in forests and writing blogs for many years to come!
